Abigail Hudman

Creative Director

Uncommon Diceworks is a creative adventure led by Bret and Abigail, a husband-and-wife duo who mix a little bit of magic, a dash of sawdust, and a whole lot of passion into every dice set and wooden box they craft. Bret, the Operations Director, is the mastermind behind the machines and the schedules—think of him as the captain of the resin ship and the keeper of the pressure pots. Abigail, the Creative Director, is the color wizard and paintbrush queen, turning blank dice into tiny masterpieces one brushstroke at a time.

Together, they blend precision and artistry, crafting everything from custom resin dice (with or without their signature swirling Hydrocore) to hand-painted sets and exclusive limited collections released throughout the year. Their workshop smells like fresh wood and creativity, with the occasional rogue glitter spill—because perfection is fun, but a little messiness keeps things interesting.

But Uncommon Diceworks is more than just a name—it’s a way of life. Inspired by the “Uncommon Lifestyle” philosophy of Tony Dungy, a philosophy deeply cherished by Bret’s late father, the brand stands for living with purpose, character, and faith. It’s about striving for excellence through humility and service, focusing on what truly matters rather than just achievements or possessions.

Every dice set and dice box is a symbol of this uncommon mindset—a reminder to live intentionally, to play with heart, and to embrace the extraordinary in the everyday.

Uncommon Diceworks proudly connects with gamers online, at local farmers markets, monthly Art Walks, and gaming conventions across Texas—sharing not just dice, but a community built on passion and purpose.
